1. What this agreement is

This agreement governs the use of Paradoxon Assistant, a program by Paradoxon LLC. By installing or using the program, you accept what it says here. If you do not agree, do not install it.

Welcome price. In some seasons, Paradoxon LLC offers a welcome price for the first months of a customer's first subscription. Its terms (price, duration, and who can get it) are shown before payment. When that period ends, the regular subscription price applies, with prior notice by email. If the subscription is cancelled, the welcome price cannot be recovered.

2. What you may do

Paradoxon LLC grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use Paradoxon Assistant for your business, with your customers and your data, with no limit on how many orders you record. The monthly subscription has one price per user per month, the same for every role. The current price is shown before subscribing. Every person who signs in with their own user counts as a user: the administrator, each technician, the manager, reception, warehouse, and, when present, cashier. A one-person business pays for one user. The Station does not have its own license, but the person using it counts as a user. Each subscription covers one location, with one Server installed on one computer. Two locations with two Servers require two subscriptions.

3. License types

The plan offered at checkout is the monthly per-user subscription. While current, it includes the right to use the program and updates released during that period. It renews monthly with no minimum term. You can cancel at any time from the payment portal.

Trial: 14 days of free use, with every feature and up to 5 users, with no card. One trial per business is allowed: the control rule is one per email address and one per computer. If the trial ends without subscribing, access switches to admin only (section 5).

Licenses issued before this agreement keep the terms under which they were issued.

4. Activation

The subscription is activated with a license key associated with the product and the Server of one location. From the payment portal you can add or remove users, change your card or cancel. Unauthorized use of a license key may block it.

With the subscription, the program works offline for 30 consecutive days. It then gives notice and keeps working for another 7 days; if it does not connect during that period, it switches to admin only (section 5). The trial stops if the program goes 3 days without connecting, and resumes once it connects again.

5. What happens when the subscription ends, the trial expires, or the connection is lost

If you cancel, everything keeps working until the end of the period already paid for. Afterward, only the administrator can sign in and no new orders can be created. Everything stored can always be read, searched, printed, exported and backed up. Data is never deleted or locked away: it can always be viewed and exported.

The monthly payment is handled by Stripe. If a payment fails, the program keeps working normally for 7 days; if the payment is not resolved within that period, it switches to admin only. Stored data remains viewable and exportable to the administrator. Once the payment is resolved, everything works again the next time the program is opened with an internet connection.

If the trial expires without a subscription, access switches directly to admin only. With the subscription, after 30 consecutive days offline, the program gives notice and keeps working for another 7 days; if still offline, it switches to admin only. Connecting lets the subscription be validated again.

6. What is not allowed

You may not resell, rent, redistribute or sublicense the program. You may not decompile it, modify it or create derivative works without written permission. You may not use it for illegal activities, impersonate others, or share license keys with third parties.

7. Your data is yours

Your business's data -- customers, orders, photos, prices -- is stored on your device. Paradoxon LLC does not access it and does not receive it. Making and keeping your backups is your responsibility; the program includes tools to help you.

8. Anonymous usage data

The program can send Paradoxon LLC a daily, anonymous summary of how it is used, only if you allow it. It starts off: if you never allow it, nothing is sent. Saying no, or not answering, does not limit any feature of the program.

The only things sent are: how many times each screen was opened and each feature was used, as numbers; if the program had an error, the error type and the spot in the code where it happened (file, line and function), never the text of the message; the installed version; the language you use the program in; and the date the summary covers.

What is never sent: your customers' data (names, phone numbers, emails, repair orders, prices or photos), the text of error messages, anything that identifies your device (serial number, machine name, IP address, Windows user or license key), or the time of day you did anything.

The data arrives with no identification at all and is added to a daily total together with every other installation: Paradoxon LLC cannot tell what your device sent. You can turn this on or off at any time, in Settings, under About. The full details are in the privacy policy at paradoxonllc.com.

9. Notices to your customers

The program can send notices by email or text message to your business's customers, using the email or messaging accounts you configure. Those messages are sent in your name and under your responsibility: it is up to you to obtain your customers' consent and to comply with the messaging and personal data laws of your country.

10. Updates

The subscription includes updates released while it is current. Earlier licenses keep the update terms under which they were issued.

11. Revocation

Paradoxon LLC may revoke a license only for fraud, an unjustified chargeback, unauthorized resale or a material breach of this agreement. No refund is due for a justified revocation. Stored data remains readable and exportable in admin-only mode.

12. Refunds and cancellation

The free trial lets you evaluate the program before subscribing. The customer can cancel at any time from the payment portal: cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and that period is not refunded. Afterward, access switches to admin only. Data is never deleted or locked away: it can always be viewed and exported.

Paradoxon LLC does not offer refunds for a change of mind, the buyer's personal circumstances, or features the free trial already allowed them to evaluate, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Paradoxon LLC may, at its sole discretion and without creating any obligation or precedent, address accidental duplicate purchases or technical failures attributable to the software that support cannot resolve within a reasonable time. If a refund is granted, in whole or in part, the associated license key is revoked immediately and the software switches to admin only. Stored data remains readable and exportable.

13. Warranty and liability

The program is provided "as is". Paradoxon LLC does not warrant that it will run without interruption or that it is fit for a particular purpose, and is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from its use, except where applicable law requires otherwise. In any case, Paradoxon LLC's liability will not exceed the amount paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

This program does not replace your backups or your professional judgment.

14. Intellectual property

Paradoxon Assistant, its code, its brand and its materials are the property of Paradoxon LLC or its licensors. This agreement gives you a right of use, not ownership of the program.

15. Changes to this agreement

Paradoxon LLC may update this agreement. The version in force is the one published at paradoxonllc.com with its update date. Changes do not retroactively affect an earlier license already purchased.

16. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the law applicable in the jurisdiction where Paradoxon LLC has its principal place of business, and any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
