What is Paradoxon Alternate?
A smart switching system for Windows: you group your open applications and jump between them with one hotkey per group, instead of navigating everything with Alt+Tab.
How many groups and apps can I configure?
Up to 8 groups, with up to 5 applications each. Every group has its own name, color, icon and hotkey.
How fast is the switching?
The window switch happens in under 30 ms — practically instant.
Which hotkeys can I use?
Combinations of Ctrl, Alt, Shift and Win with letters, numbers or F-keys. Defaults are Ctrl+Alt+1 through Ctrl+Alt+8, and you can capture any combination live.
What if my hotkey collides with another program?
The built-in diagnostics tool detects hotkey conflicts and helps you pick free combinations.
Do I need to add my apps manually?
No: Alternate detects open applications in real time; you add them to a group with one click.
Which physical devices does it work with?
The entire macro-controller class: Elgato Stream Deck (with official plugin and visual button feedback), Mirabox Stream Dock, Loupedeck, Razer Stream Controller, AJAZZ and similar, plus macro keyboards and USB foot pedals — any peripheral that sends key combinations can trigger a group.
Can I move my configuration to another PC?
Yes. The full backup exports groups, hotkeys and preferences to a file you can import on another machine.
Do I have to keep the window open?
No. Alternate lives in the system tray and hotkeys keep working; it can also start with Windows.
Which systems does it run on?
It's a native application for Windows 10 or later, built on .NET/WPF.
What happens if I stop paying the annual license?
Nothing bad: the software keeps working. You keep, forever, the last version you were entitled to. The only thing you stop receiving is new updates. We do not lock your software and we do not ask you to uninstall it.
Which one suits me, Annual or Lifetime?
If you want the smallest upfront investment and to see how it goes, choose Annual: you pay less and the software is yours even if you never renew. If you know you will use it for years and want every future improvement without paying again, Lifetime works out cheaper in the long run.
Do I need internet for it to work?
No. The license is verified on your own computer. You only need a connection to activate it the first time. If your internet goes down, your shop keeps working.
On how many computers can I install it?
One license = one computer. If you change machines or one breaks, you can release the license yourself and activate it on the new one, up to twice a year. If you need more, write to us and we will do it at no cost.
What if my PC dies?
You release the license from the website with your key and your email, and activate it on the new machine. You lose nothing.
Is the trial feature-limited?
No. It is 14 days with absolutely everything enabled, and we do not ask for a credit card. If you decide to buy, your data is still there: you do not start over.
Can I upgrade from Annual to Lifetime later?
Yes. Write to us and we will credit what you already paid for the current year.
What happens to my data if I stop using the software?
It is yours and it lives on your computer, not on our servers. You can export it whenever you want, even if your license has expired.
