Product Licenses
This page describes how Paradoxon's products are licensed. Final terms for each product are detailed at the time of purchase or subscription.
1. License types
Trial: free use for 14 days, with every feature enabled. When it expires, the software stops operating until a license is purchased.
Annual license: a permanent right of use, plus updates and support for 12 renewable months. If the user chooses not to renew, they keep the indefinite right to use the last version they were entitled to during their active period. The software is not locked and does not stop working for lack of renewal.
Perpetual (lifetime) license: one-time payment. Indefinite right of use and access to every future update of the product, with no renewals.
2. Scope of use
Each license allows installing and using the product on the number of devices or users specified at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise specified, the license is personal and non-transferable.
3. Activation and validation
The license is activated with a key (format PXN-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and is bound to one (1) device. The user may release the device themselves up to two (2) times per year —for example, when replacing a computer— and activate the license on another machine. Beyond that limit, support will do it at no cost.
Once activated, validation happens on the user's own machine: the software works with no internet connection. The server is contacted only to activate, to release a device, or occasionally to refresh the license status, and lack of connectivity never prevents use of the software.
Unauthorized use (resale, key sharing, circumventing activation) may result in revocation of the license.
4. Updates
Annual license: includes every update released during the active period. Versions released after expiry require renewing the license; the version already installed keeps working with no time limit.
Perpetual (lifetime) license: includes every update of the product, with no time limit and at no additional cost.
5. Restrictions
- Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the software is not permitted.
- Decompiling, modifying, or creating derivative works without authorization is not permitted.
- Using the software for illegal or unauthorized activities is not permitted.
6. Revocation and termination
Paradoxon LLC may revoke a license in the event of fraud, improper chargeback, unauthorized resale, or material breach of these terms. Where revocation is justified, no refund will be issued.
Expiry of an annual license does NOT constitute termination. The user keeps the indefinite right to use the version they were entitled to during their active period, and is under no obligation to uninstall the software. They only lose access to updates released afterwards.
The trial license does terminate when its period ends; at that point the user must purchase a license or uninstall the software.
Intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law clauses survive any termination.
7. Refunds
Refund policies are detailed at the time of purchase. Generally, a trial period is offered so the user can evaluate the product before buying.
8. Warranty disclaimer ("as is") and limitation of liability
The software is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or absence of errors. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paradoxon LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the software, including loss of data or profits. Paradoxon LLC's total liability to the user, for any cause related to a license, will not exceed the amount actually paid for that license.
9. Governing law
This license agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in the user's country of residence.
