From keyboard to physical buttons: Stream Deck, Stream Dock, Loupedeck and more

There's something special about a physical button. Paradoxon Alternate works with the entire class of macro controllers on the market: Elgato Stream Deck, Mirabox Stream Dock, Loupedeck, Razer Stream Controller, AJAZZ AKP and similar peripherals — plus key combinations, programmable macro keyboards and USB foot pedals. Each button becomes an application group: press it and jump to the group's next app.

With the official Stream Deck plugin, setup happens in the Property Inspector: drag the "Group" action to a button, refresh the list of open apps, select 2 to 5 applications and save. The plugin talks to the Alternate engine on your PC and responds in under 100 ms, with visual feedback on the button. Other devices integrate just as easily: since every group has a hotkey, any peripheral that can send a key combination — a Stream Dock, a Loupedeck, a USB pedal or a macro keyboard — can trigger the switch.

And if you don't own any controller? Everything works the same with keyboard hotkeys. But if you already use one for streaming or production, adding window control turns your desk into a cockpit: the top row for your scenes, the bottom row for your work contexts.

Bonus: your full configuration (groups, hotkeys, preferences) can be exported as a backup and imported on another machine — your setup travels with you.
